Eaton Corporation Cable Tray Welder- 3rd Shift in Sherman, Texas

Hiring immediately! Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Cable Tray Welder- 3rd Shift at our location in Sherman, TX. In this role, you will be operating production equipment specifically for the welding and fabrication of products. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 pm - 4:00 am with expected overtime. The rate for this position is $21.20 per hour plus a $.40 shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

• Set up, understand, and proficiently operate all welding equipment.

• Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.

• ID and tag shop orders with the product. Retrieve/enter data into the system.

• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.

• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.

• Weld components based on print specifications.

• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year MIG welding

• Must have a High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Weld Certified

• Minimum of 2-3 years MIG/TIG Welding

• Minimum of one (1) year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools

• Basic computer skills

Position Criteria:

• Solid math, communication, analytical, and reasoning skills

• Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum

• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, and bending with or without accommodation

• Ability to stand for eight hours plus while performing repetitious tasks with or without accommodation

• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools

• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to details

• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product

• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate

• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as required by business need

• Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high-noise areas)

• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, and sparks.
