As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.

Job Overview

  • Support Qualcomm Snapdragon IoT customers for design-win projects.

  • Help customers understand Qualcomm camera solution on ISP, algorithms, tuning and tools, deliver competitive image quality out of Qualcomm camera ISP within the project schedule.

  • Provide instructions and on-site support for customers to resolve camera tuning issues quickly.

  • Identify problems reported by customers, report Qualcomm bugs to development team and provide the analysis until the root cause are found and bugs are fixed

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

  • 2+ years’ experience with debugging techniques.

  • 2+ years’ experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with camera sensor technologies such as CMOS/CCD.

  • Proficient in Camera working principle, familiar with Qualcomm ISP pipeline process.

  • Familiar with Qualcomm CamX architecture.

  • Be an expert on color science, image processing and quality tuning theories.

  • Experienced in color processing pipeline and fundamental algorithms used in digital camera industry, such as AWB/AE/AF.

  • Experienced in various image processing algorithms adopted in digital camera industry, such as color enhancement, noise reduction etc.

  • Experienced with camera tuning and image quality improvement in camera or adjacent industries.

  • Familiar with C/C++ and Matlab and work environment under Linux/Windows/Android.

  • The ability to learn quickly with high motivation and work under high pressure.

  • The experience working on Qualcomm platforms and phone industry is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, able to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor or above with a major of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant.
