Philips Lead Engineer, Electronic Development in Shenzhen, China

In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better

You will work on product development of Grooming and Beauty appliances, from initial design concepts to mass production in a multidisciplinary team.

You are responsible for

  • Design of electronic modules for PH products, primary for the Grooming & Beauty business.

  • Translate technical requirements into product concepts and electronic designs.

  • Manage product requirements, lead DFMEA’s and follow the v-model methodology.

  • Ensure proper documentation for the developed products and followed processes

  • Design and test the modules or components, to ensure reliable, efficient, and user-friendly products

  • Understand and communicate boundaries of proposed designs and architecture on the electronic product roadmap

  • Draw up personal schedule and report on progress, as well as contribute to the planning process of the hardware and/or other subsystem

  • Depending on team role, keep oversight of the complete appliance development.

  • Contribute to the estimation of the required development effort and run-time resources.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • A Bachelor degree or above in electronics hardware engineering, with minimum 5-10 years of working experience in the field of electronics product development;

  • Preferably to have multiple years working experience in developing hardware ( battery charging systems, step down & step up converters, SMPS ) for high volume consumer products and having a thorough understanding of modern hardware engineering tools, methods, processes.

  • Experience with CFD analysis, FEA (Ansys), and/or other analytical software programs;

  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and are able to communicate very well with different (international) people;

  • You have a pro-active attitude and high quality mindset towards your assignment;

  • Technically, you are an expert in your area, able to develop own ideas and stand up for their feasibility.
