Little Creek Casino Resort Kitchen Supervisor in Shelton, Washington

Join our team as a Kitchen Supervisor and play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence. We're in search of a detail-oriented professional to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with food safety regulations. If you possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences, we encourage you to apply 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the day to day supervision of the kitchen working with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Responsible for menu planning.
  • Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Hold regular staff meetings and convey all relevant information throughout the kitchen staff.
  • Keep kitchen organized and clean
  • Trains and coaches staff in the importance of quality customer service skills to ensure excellence for the ultimate in guest experience.
  • Responsible for training, supervision and developing staff on techniques, equipment, recipes, preparation methods and presentation.
  • Ensures that all recipes and portions are adhered to. 
  • Able to make quick and accurate decisions
  • Communicate with management, peers, and subordinates of all food and beverage information
  • Responsible for all inventory, ordering and supply levels to adequately cover expected events and normal operational needs in all designated venue kitchens.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Culinary Arts Certificate from College and/or Technical School Preferred, and
  • Three (3) years Food and Beverage experience in food preparation with progressive management and supervisory experience.
  • OR five (5) years Food and Beverage experience in food preparation with progressive management and supervisory experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Washington State Food Worker Card
  • Class II Gaming License issued by the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission (must be able to pass a background check. Gaming license obtained on site upon hire and is paid for by LCCR)
  • Class 12 Mixologist/Class 13 Alcohol Server Permit.

Salary Description

23.03 hourly and up, based on experience.
