The Role:

This position would manage multiple projects of moderate levels of complexity associated with work movement, capital and other special projects / initiatives as required.

An ideal candidate has experience successfully applying traditional project management theories and concepts, a firm understanding of the business / manufacturing environment, excellent communication at all levels of the organization, and ability to collaborate across various functions, and Boeing locations to achieve project / organizational objectives.

  • Responsible for managing multiple projects of varying sizes and scope to bring the site from machine commissioning phase to full production within budget, timescale and quality constraints.

  • Responsible for weekly communication report-outs on programme to corporate senior leadership.

  • Stakeholder management both internally at all levels and externally to ensure projects maintain scope and timescales

  • Responsible for managing capital strategy and long-term financial forecasts.

  • Site focal for risk and opportunity management, responsible for co-ordinating mitigations and communicating potential changes to projects to senior leadership.

  • Managing various projects concurrently from ideas, through to costing and timeline, CapEx requests and implementation phases.

  • Implementing and developing business operating practices with leadership to ensure effective leadership and operations on site (developing metrics, functional meeting cadence & structure etc.)

  • Develops overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).

  • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers.

  • May lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.

  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.

  • Ensures that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers.

  • Utilizes standard project management tools /software including Microsoft Project, Project Web Application (PWA), and other Microsoft Office Applications as required.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in managing a portfolio of projects.

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment.

  • 3+ years of experience in developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Functional experience in at least one other area of the business / manufacturing - such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Facilities, etc.
