Reference #: 29434 About the Role: As a Machine Operator II, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by operating various production equipment used to produce the company's products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment such as envelopers, laser printers, sorting machines, correction terminals, COMs, postage meters, and unit PCs. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team. Additionally, you will be responsible for picking up mail from the post office as needed and serving as a backup driver when required. Essential Job Responsibilities: Operate production equipment, including envelopes, laser printers, sorting machines, correction terminals, COMs, postage meters, and unit PCs, to produce the company's products according to established procedures and quality standards. Monitor equipment operation closely, ensuring proper functioning and making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal performance and productivity. Load materials into machines, adjust settings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions to production. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to machine safety procedures. Maintain accurate production records, including equipment settings, output quantities, and any incidents or deviations from standard procedures. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize production tasks, coordinate workflow, and meet production targets and deadlines. Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge related to equipment operation and manufacturing processes. Follow company policies and procedures, including quality standards and compliance regulations, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of production operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment surfaces and surrounding areas, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Pick up mail from the post office when needed. Serve as a backup driver as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficiency in operating a variety of production equipment, including envelopes, laser printers, sorting machines, correction terminals, COMs, postage meters, and unit PCs. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and supervisors. Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands. Valid driver's license. "The pay rate for this position is $13.50/hr; however, base pay rate offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
