Job Overview

Leads AP direct material sourcing and procurement to support cash flow management and margin improvements. Collaborates between sub regions and works closely with Center-led Procurement to align on commodity strategy. Manages direct material supplier relationships and performance (quality, delivery, & cost). Collaborates with Engineering/Manufacturing to obtain cost reduction and Supply Chain to control inventory levels. Annual spend is about $1.3B.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities:

• Strengthening commodity collaboration through regions

• Define sourcing strategy to optimize, integrate supplier base and drive commodity productivity

• Finding new suppliers for related commodities to achieve Business Unit objectives, to support business growth needs

• Be the representative of TE to resolve the critical supplier issues

• Working with operation team to better align supply chain

• Drive TEOA-P cross country

• Collaborate with country functional team to drive material productivity project cross regions

• Drive material localization effort to achieve cost reduction and delivery service flexibility

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering discipline required

• More than 8 years of procurement/sourcing experience with minimum 3-years management experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the wire/cable industry is required

• Experience with resins/plastics and metals/metal products are also a plus

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications is preferred

• Excellent organizational and project management skills
