Role Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Provide heat transfer and thermodynamics expertise in the development of next generation high efficiency and environmentally friendly HVAC/R systems

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans.

  • Perform air-conditioning and refrigeration component/system modeling tasks including model requirement development, model test plan creation and model verification & validation.

  • Design and conduct equipment qualification testing in labs.

  • Communicate with Marketing, Product Engineering, and global teams in understanding customer needs from different perspectives.

  • Program to resolve data conduction and analysis

Role Purpose:

  • Developing and deploying state-of-the-art modeling toolsand model-based development workflow that are used by CCS’ global engineering centers for Carrier’s air-conditioning and refrigeration component and system design

  • Developing sales tools for global business units

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning, power Engineering, fluid machinery or engineering mechanics with 3+ year experience.

  • MS degree in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning, power Engineering, fluid machinery or engineering mechanics with 2+ year experience.

  • PhD degree in in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning, power Engineering, fluid machinery or engineering mechanics.

  • Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, calculus and numerical analysis

  • Modeling experience of thermal fluid systems.

  • Programming experience in Python, C++, C#, Java, Visual Basic, Fortran or similar languages.

  • Engineering experience in design or application of HVAC/R or Power plant equipment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across functions.

  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills in a global team is required.
