Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:

  • Manage mechanical system team with staffs to achieve company goals.

  • Develop a global mechanical talent team with high efficiency, strong quality mind-set and global view.

  • Develop and maintain both product and technology roadmap in mechanical area to achieve product modularization, globalization and digitalization.

  • Provide technical leadership in mechanical design, review, verification, validation, trouble shooting and continuous improvements.

  • Collaborate with other OTIS teams globally to support global common platform strategy and leverage best practices.

Accountability & measures:

  • Job performance will be measured in accordance with the completion of product developments, product quality, material productivity and talent developments.

Work experience & skills requirements:

  • Basic Requirements:

  • 8+years of R&D experience in all aspects of mechanical design related.

  • 3+years people management experience .

  • Demonstrated leadership of Empowerment, Empathy ,Collaboration, Pace, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new standard work/methodology/process for quality improvements.

  • Familiar with general mechanical design disciplines.

  • Familiar with FMEA/DOE/RRCA/Risk Management.

  • Familiar with mechanical design tools like Creo/ parametric 3-D model.

  • Familiar with benchmarking and product cost analysis.

  • Good communication and organizational skills required.

  • Good English skill in both writing and verbal communication.

  • Preferred Requirements:

  • General knowledge on Elevator/Escalator industry.

  • Has the experience of managing managers.

  • Solid design experiences in mechanical areas with global environment.

  • Product digital twin development experience.

  • Design for manufacture experience.

Educational Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical-electronic or related field.
