JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Loyalty Marketing, GC is a key member of GC Marketing team. The purpose of this position is to plan and execute continent loyalty and portfolio marketing in a manner that is locally relevant and aligned with the global strategy. He/she has responsibility for:

• Loyalty program marketing to support drive loyalty program performance ,eg member enrollment and activation, including Member marketing, lifecycle marketing, moments marketing etc.

• Lead the marketing activation of global sponsorships

• Loyalty & portfolio Partnership marketing, eg. credit card.

• Portfolio marketing to elevate Marriott International portfolio of brands, drive affiliation with loyalty programs and drive portfolio preference in the long tun.

The job location will be in Hong Kong or Shanghai. Shanghai is preferred.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing strategy, digital or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

• Deep understanding of the value and operation model of loyalty programs. Business acumen of how to maximize the lifetime value of a loyalty member.

• E-commerce experiences is preferred with a member/customer centric mindset. Expertise of leveraging data-empowered marketing tools/mechanism to drive enrollment and conversion.

Key experience includes:

• Working with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve a common goal.

• Strong ability to manage through influence rather than direct reporting relationships

• Experience marketing through various channels: direct mail, email, web, contact centers, social media

• Experience managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously

• Project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional project teams to drive concrete results and actions

• Must have excellent relationship development and management skills with both internal and external business partners; ability to say no with defensible business rationale

• Proven ability to interact and influence all levels of the organization through persuasive communication and analysis

• Analytical mindset and familiarity with financial principles

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Loyalty & Portfolio Marketing

• Collaborate with and provide input to Global Loyalty to ensure that key platforms (e.g., Global Promotions) and projects include continent business needs

• Develop continent’s loyalty and loyalty partnership marketing plan in collaboration with Global Loyalty Marketing

• Manage promotions & partnership calendar for the continent, promote Marriott Bonvoy Moments experience to differentiate loyalty program in market

• Lead the marketing activation of global sponsorships and work stakeholders and partners across the region & global teams to drive buzz and member engagement

• Manage continent loyalty media plans and promotional budgets

• Provide marketing promotion guidance to hotels

• Establish and execute an engagement plan for paid and owned digital to drive acquisition and incremental value

• Coordinates with PR at a corporate and continent level, as needed

• Pull through multi-brand messaging and Portfolio/Loyalty creative / messaging

Portfolio marketing

• Liaison with HQ to localize portfolio marketing campaigns in GC, drive relevancy and sustain buzz/awareness for portfolio of brands.

• Identify and capture opportunities to promote portfolio of brands/hotels in GC

• Partner with area marketing team to build and iterate full-year promotional calendar (Chinese New Year, Double 11, Mid-Autumn Festival); lead execution for portfolio marketing campaigns (all internal communications, content consolidation and auditing, and performance analysis etc)
