The Regional Compliance Officer (m/f/d) Asia ensures the implementation and operation of Vitesco's Legal Compliance Management System ("Legal CMS") in the Vitesco Group companies in Asia. The Legal CMS focuses on anti-corruption, anti-trust, anti-money laundering, data protection and conflicts of interest. The RCO structures, organizes and oversees the execution of the Legal CMS in the area of responsibility with a particular focus on prevention, detection and remediation measures.

Furthermore, the Legal CMS aims for strengthening the Compliance culture throughout the Vitesco Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Legal Compliance Organization in Asia including coordination with our Local Compliance Officers (LCOs) in our Asian locations.

  • Communicates any new compliance activity or re-prioritization of existing group-wide activities in alignment with the Corporate Compliance Officer as well as prepares a consolidated compliance plan and reports progress.

  • Serves as primary contact for members of the management team and other stakeholders for compliance-related issues in the area of responsibility.

  • Ensures the provision of accurate, timely and practical compliance advice to the organization.

  • Makes sure that the LCOs have sufficient know-how to provide Legal Compliance advice in their respective area of responsibility as well as assists LCOs in the development of their stakeholder relationship plans and the appropriate fulfilment of those.

  • Responsible for Legal Compliance Training & Communication in the area of responsibility.

  • Implements Legal Compliance policies and processes (e.g. Compliance risk assessment, business partner due diligence, etc.) in the area of responsibility and ensures that the LCOs rollout of respective policies and processes.

  • Case Management support relating to reporting of compliance-related violations and concerns.

Qualification:

  • Successful completion of university degree in law, economics or other comparable University degree

  • Several years of professional experience in the area of Compliance (within a company, well-respected international or local law firm or management advisory firm)

  • Compliance expertise, in particular in the areas of anticorruption, antitrust, anti-money laundering, data protection and conflicts of interest

  • Proven leadership skills as well as project management skills

  • Experience in leading international teams preferred

  • Fluent English language skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communicationskills

  • Strength in dealing with complex and conflicting situations

  • Acts with integrity and team player mentality
