Danaher Corporation Market Development Manager in Shanghai, China

GCRF: P4 - Marketing Multifunction/General (same as Yaonan)

Position Scope

Serve as initiative leader for Biopharma at platform level. Provide opportunities for Danaher Life Science to bring together cross-opco offerings and deploy key initiatives to win in this market. This role is the marketing champion within the China platform organization with deep understanding of the local market environment (legal, social, economic environment, market trends, competition, etc.), with a sound product and application knowledge to cross-opco offerings. Own marketing and market development strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Growth: Identify the key areas of growth and differentiation for the company for Biopharma. Devise and develop strategic and tactical / business plans which effectively lead to the incremental revenue for Opcos to improve market share of DHR China in Biopharma.

  • Transformative Marketing & Branding: Partner with opco marketing leaders and LSC marcom manager to improve Danaher Life Science branding awareness and generate more leads/opportunities through marketing events (conferences, road shows, workshops, VIP events, webinars etc.); Initiate and execute China specific marketing/banding campaigns; Support funnel expansion and revenue growth for Biopharma in all Opcos.

  • Key Project Facilitator : Co-ordinate key Biopharma Opportunities at platform level, to ensure growth target being met. Identify new/incremental opportunities in those projects for Opcos.

  • Excellence for Xcellerator: Owner to demonstrate workflow-based solutions at platform in Xcellerator, leveraging opco marketing and application resources; Responsible for platform/cross-Opco product & application training. Drive usage and improve outcome of Xcellerator to maximize its business impact.

  • Key Account Development: Owner for platform Key Account management and maintain the network with key opinion leaders (KOLs) for Biopharma industry in China, to influence the market trend. Feedback the customer voice and needs timely back to platform. Support key account sales to achieve growth and improve customer loyalty and engagement.

  • Talent Acquisition and Development : Create a D&I working environment to attract talents; Lead a motivated and learning team to deliver result in professional level; Drive team execution to generate technical marketing content and customer testimony to support opco sales Mentor tech marketing scientists to be developed as his/her successor.

    Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years relevant working experience.

  • Master’s degree in biology/chemistry or related discipline, a bachelor’s degree but with > 10 years working experience may also be considered. A PhD degree is preferred.

  • Experienced in marketing and market development.

  • 3 years people management or project management experiences.

  • Data analytical capability is a must. SFDC experience is preferred.

  • Experienced in customer relation building with good knowledge in the industry and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to relate to and engage with various levels within a client’s organization and have strong networking skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for relationships.

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English required. Excellent presentation and communications skills in both languages.

  • Ability to travel at reasonable frequency in China to carry out business responsibilities.
