ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

This position will support the development & expansion of regional retail analytics initiatives in APAC. The aspiration is to elevate retail analytics capability to create a competitive advantage for the enterprise.

In partnership with the VF brands’ Omni Channel & BPO teams to assess and address data and information needs, manage, analyze, and synthesize analytics and insights to influence decisions and action planning. He/she will enable the analytics work streams and priorities, managing their fulfillment and rollout as required in APAC (e.g. retail functional analysis, partner data capability models, product assortment & optimization, integrated Omni reports with Ecomm & B&M, and other priorities).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

  • Define and organize data architecture: Based on a strong understanding of Retail data attributes across B&M, Ecomm , partner with the business to develop reports that support its reporting needs. Partner with brands to develop new KPI’s, and measures to support the digital transformation in APAC.

  • Strong functional reporting & analytics: Drive the creation of relevant reports and help build an analytics foundation. Partner with DT, Business team & super Users to drive the creation of BI (e.g.,Tableau & PowerBI) dashboards and or the use of new retail tools as the capability evolves

  • Drive standardization & alignment across brands: Work with across brands members from Ecomm, Retail & Merchandising & BPO to standardize KPI’s, definitions & logic to ensure consistency across brands & enterprise.

  • Drive adoption of new capabilities: Ensuring that new KPI’s, tools being rolled out across the platform are being adopted by brand teams.

  • Test and learn new data tools for business roll-out: Identify and lead pilot work to qualify new analytical tools and data techniques. Monitor trends in retail analytics & data science to ensure that VF APAC is in tune with best-in-class tools and techniques.

  • Build Key Partnerships with DT: This position will need to work closely with the DT teams to ensure support via architecture, tools , data cleansing & testing for best-in-class tools that support the data analytics vision.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in data & analytics role

  • Strong business acumen whereby past experience indicates strong collaboration and understanding of Retail B&M , Ecomm business requirements.

  • BA/BS required in a relevant field including Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in applications of complex modeling and analytical methodology including, e.g. clustering, time series/forecasting, predictive & optimization modeling, anova, experimental design, etc.

  • Leadership skills to manage and develop both direct and indirect reports, ability to lead through influence

  • Strong understanding of retail and apparel (or other relevant industry) best practices and trends (preferred)

  • Ability to influence and work through others to effectively navigate matrixed organization while ensuring that necessary stakeholders are informed

  • Ability to simplify highly complex analyses and output into terms that are easily accessible and impactful

  • Platform proficiency/knowledge: SAS, SQL, Python, Visualization tools (Tableau & PowerBI preferred)

Education:

  • Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor Degree
