Ford Motor Company IT Program Manager (PMO) in Shanghai, China

The position of IT Program Manager role is responsible to work with Ford Credit China business/IT partners and global/regional technical teams to manage and deliver project/program to support Ford Credit China business.

  • Worked with Portfolio and Program Leader to drive Ford Credit China local support model and core platform modernization across Ford Credit Technology Organization.

  • Assume responsibility for anticipating problems and complications in Program and formulate solution in order to timely remove the impediment through the right personnel via lean and coherent approach.

  • Develop, maintain and distribute (as appropriate) standard Program management deliverables, including Program milestone plan, Program schedule, Project budget and variances, meeting minutes, action item log, etc.

  • Accountable for transparent Program reporting, risk and issue tracking and properly maintain the single source of truth for Program Status.

  • Proactively manage the end-to-end dependencies across all dependent internal and external team throughout the lifecycle of the Program by applying a structured change management approach.

  • Defines, implements, and executes processes, methods, and tools to deliver the strategies and plans that enable the business of IT, as well regularly optimizes processes via data-driven mechanism.

  • Drives consensus on “how” program solution will be built and facilitate mindful discussion with key stakeholders that lead to timely decisions, using proper decision-making framework when needed.

  • Support the IT organizational budgeting related activities including but not limited to facilitate forecast, formalize the plan, trace the progress, and report out based on key stakeholder expectation.

  • Work actively with other Program Manager in Transformation Office to inspire IT organization to be on the right way of continuous improvement during Transformation journey.

  • 8+ years in Tech, preferred IT. At least 5 years experiences in Program Management role

  • Experience in managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function internal and external teams.

  • Deep understanding of Agile and Waterfall software development methodology, including major best practices of Agile in IT industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution of process and methodologies

  • Proficient in one of Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project, Rally, JIRA Server)

  • Experience working in a domestic and global PMO team focusing on organizational process continuously optimization

  • Experience collaborating with IT leadership and business partners

  • Experience with driving prioritization process and resolving dependency conflicts

  • Superior English communication and presentation skills with interpersonal ability to roll out project communication clearly and effectively to senior leaderships, including escalation, as well resolve discordant views by constructive dialog.

  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details and data while maintaining the “big picture” view

  • Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter, with ability to multi-task with minimal supervision

  • PMP and SAFe certification is preferred
