• Drive Field Medical (FM) performance

a) Communicates information to FM team and ensures execution of medical strategies, objectives and MSM individual FM plan

b) Ensures appropriate translation of disease area and product medical education objectives and Thought Leader (TL) needs into specific MSM Quarterly activity plans

c) Promotes a culture of innovation, constructive challenges, team spirit and accountability within MSM that is based on ensuring the wellbeing of patients and the dissemination of accurate scientific and medical knowledge

d) Engages team with clear vision and goals, actively recognizing individual and team accomplishments, and promotes learning and sharing of knowledge

• People development

a) Develop and support execution of MSM training (disease and functional skills), responsible for the delivery of the MSM Training program. Ensure MSM have access to continuous learning and developmental opportunities

b) Identifies and communicates individual and team skills/knowledge gaps, develop appropriate training and development plans for each team member based on personal characteristics and career direction

c) Provides coaching and mentoring to all direct reports, responsible to perform first-hand assessments of the MSM interactions with TL and analyzes skills/knowledge gaps among MSM through frequent co-visits observations

d) Develops a proactive approach to recruitment and creates initiatives to ensure the retention of strong performers

• Stakeholder management

a) Review/Approval of TL List, and supports FM team in developing strong networks with External Experts

b) Maintains strong knowledge of External Experts in the field to provide input into planning, matrix initiatives, and requests for TL information

c) Ensures FM team captures and communicates relevant medical insights; provides insight updates across the matrix as appropriate; contributes to development/implementation of action plans resulting from key insights

d) Coordinates regional scientific support consistent with FM Plans in alignment with high priority regional business needs

e) Promotes effective working relationships with internal partners including cross-matrix field leadership. Establishes effective cross-functional work practices

• Additional activities

a) Ensures that the role of FM in the submission process of investigators’ proposals for clinical trials is completed in accordance with Company policies, and applicable law, regulations, and ethical standards

b) Ensures active participation of FM in providing input on clinical trial site selection and feasibility based on their knowledge of investigators in their geography

c) Ensures that FM team has the required knowledge to identify Adverse Events (AEs) and fully understand and comply with BMS Pharmacovigilance SOPs

d) Understands and adheres to the BMS Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics, all Company policies and procedures including those that apply to all employees and those that are specific to the role of FM

e) Completes and certifies understanding of all required training, ensures adherence by FM team

Request

• Master in Medicines or above

• A minimum of 4 years medical affairs experience in MNC, including a minimum of 2 years FM experience desired, experience in team management, clinical practice, Pharmaceutical R&D or new product/indication launch preferred

• Education or working experience in Cardiovascular area

• In-depth knowledge of disease area, a scientific or clinical area, patient treatment trends and competitive landscape; knowledge of clinical trial design and process, the pharmaceutical industry, the national and regional healthcare and access environment

• ASMART principles in goal-setting, developing FM plans and metrics aligned with medical and overall disease & product objectives

• Good scientific thinking, presentation skills and demonstrated learning agility

• Good cross-functional cooperation skills, communication skills (oral, written), language (English, Mandarin) and computer (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills

• Ability to travel as per business needs

• No compliance issues
