The Filed Application Specialist (FAS) for Cytiva is responsible for Gene Therapy & Nucleic Acid Drug products technical support to drive and sustain the Gene Therapy & Nucleic Acid Drug business in China.

This position is part of the Genomic Medicine GT/NA Modality team located in Shanghai and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Pre-sales activities to provide technical support in Gene Therapy & Nucleic Acid Drug projects to achieve application promotion, eg: trial, technical consultation etc.

  • Assist commercial team in identifying customer opportunities, needs, determine technical feasibility of custom technical requests and process optimization opportunities.

  • Develop and engage new application opportunities within assigned territories by actively prospecting, driving and developing specification opportunities.

  • Achieve design-in targets by seeding and collaborating with cross functional teams to implement portfolio by workflows.

  • Post-sales training, onsite application to support customer to run Cytiva products.

  • Provide troubleshooting on issues related to end-user's technical skills, experiment design and results of development/optimization process.

  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and promotion as well as customer training.

  • Through critical insight on Genomic Medicine customer processes, drive and support the team to formulate strategies to develop and implement solutions that meet or exceed customers’ needs and expand business by gaining market share in existing and new accounts.

  • Provide feedback to the wider commercial teams on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • MS or BS degree in Life Sciences or related discipline.

  • Ability to develop presentations and posters with available applications datasets.

  • Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Must be willing to travel (30-40%)

  • Fluent English

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MS must have 2+ years, BS 5+ years of industry experience in Oligo synthesis/purification, Gene Therapy upstream/downstream or related focused areas.

  • Experience on Cytiva products will be a plus.
