Meta Camera and Sensor Supplier Quality Engineer in Shanghai, China

Summary:

Meta Reality Labs is building tools that help people feel connected, anytime, anywhere. We are looking for a talented Camera and Sensor Supplier Quality Engineer to help us to build next generation Camera and Sensor components for our products. As part of Meta Reality Labs Camera and Sensor Quality team, you will be a key member to work closely with cross functional teams to manage all quality issues at vendor factories, setup world class quality control plan and quality system, and also deliver world class quality products downstream. We are working together to create the future.In this role, you will take the responsibility to make sure the product quality purchased from suppliers can meet the requirements defined by Meta Reality Lab. You shall have the expertise in terms of technology and manufacturing process for the camera parts like camera module, camera lens, camera sensor and VCM, etc. You will also take the responsibilities of quality assurance to make sure the camera design, assembly and testing process can meet the requirements defined by Meta Reality Lab in the contract manufacturer site in the development stage as well as mass production phase.

Required Skills:

Camera and Sensor Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Working with the camera engineering team and purchasing team on the supplier selection

  2. Risk assessment and qualification for both product and process of individual camera component supplier and subassembly level manufacturer

  3. Quality plan definition, alignment and execution for the suppliers and subassembly level manufacturer which includes PFMEA, control plan, CTQ processes, correlated inspection and tester correlation between suppliers and subassembly level manufacturer, reliability qualification and monitoring plan, quality reporting, traceability etc.

  4. Working with the engineering team on process development for the subassembly level part in the development stages

  5. Review and setup measurement SOP and do alignment in the supply chain

  6. Working with the engineering team to initiate and define Camera and sensor modules cosmetic inspection method and acceptance criteria

  7. Process audit and monitoring camera modules, and their components level part manufacturer for risk assessment and improvement

  8. Leading for quality problem solving and yield improvement for the camera modules and their components level part

  9. Proactive quality monitoring system setup for the purchased camera modules and components level part in supplier factory

  10. Review and approval of the camera modules and their components level part shipping condition and package design validation

  11. Upto 50% business trip including overseas

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years consumer electronics industry experience

  2. 3+ years experience in camera and/or optics

  3. Experience in camera/optic technology as well as the manufacturing process

  4. Familiarity with DFM (design for manufacture), DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC and sampling plan definition

  5. Experience solving complex problems

  6. Communications skills

  2. Experience in FATP/Depth Sensing/ToF

  3. Certified Quality Engineer
