Job Summary: Prepare and cook food according to specifications for our guest's enjoyment. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else, and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead by example. Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, and provides suggestions for growth to management. Working with ovens, grills, fryers and other industrial equipment. Monitor food for rotation, freshness and safety. Maintain proper sanitation and kitchen cleanliness including but not limited to the cleaning of equipment as well as general tasks such as wiping tables, sweeping and mopping floors. Establish par levels on all products each shift to determine necessary prep. Assist in developing prep lists, recipes, par levels, and specifications for staff to follow. May be responsible for banquet, bulk, and ala carte menu production including both hot and cold preparations. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies as needed to prevent shortages. May require cooking in front of public for Banquets, which uniforms and stations should be clean and presentable. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience with fish/meat fabrication. Good verbal communication skills. Self- motivated and dependable. Able to multitask with good attention to detail. Flexible availability for schedule. Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license. Working Conditions and General Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. This position requires frequent standing and walking. Able to lift 30-50 pounds. Proficient and accurate handling a knife and working in close quarters with others near industrial equipment. Reading orders, understand instructions and communicate with co-workers to make sure food is delivered hot and delicious. We employ a large kitchen team that needs to work together and create a consistent and pleasing dining experience for our guests.
