Food Stand Associates that are 16 years or older will receive a rate of $16 an hour. Those that are 14-15 years old will receive a rate of $13 an hour. Job Summary: Prepare products and service guests in a courteous and professional manner for the stand of which they are assigned while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else, and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead by example. Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, delegates effectively and coaches and mentors direct reports for growth opportunities. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the stand in which assigned. Maintain a clean, sanitary work area. Report to assigned work area and see Stand Lead for assigned duties. Assist other associates in preparing items for sale (setting up stand). Fill orders from guests and make correct change in a courteous and timely manner. Assist in the re-stocking of supplies in work area; notify Stand Lead of all product needs. Make notice of customer complaints and direct them to the proper department and individual. Clean work area throughout shift and at closing. Assist in closing at the end of the shift per Stand Lead's instructions. Refuse service to obviously impaired persons according to Dram Shop requirements. Responsible for security of Canterbury Park Concessions supplies and property. Sweep, empty, trash, and/or clean-up other areas as needed. Report unsafe conditions, anticipate hazards, take safety precautions and report injuries promptly to direct supervisor or Security. Assist in all areas of Concessions Department when needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Supervision: None Required Qualifications: Must be at least 14 years of age. Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history. Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license. Preferred Qualifications: Previous concessions experience is preferred.
