About the Role: The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical expertise to support and improve the manufacturing processes at our facilities. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for standardization of equipment, continuous improvement, and the identification of long-term solutions to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent processes. The position requires up to 50% travel. Primary Responsibilities: Communication: Support manufacturing to address technical and process related problems,including a root cause analysis. Participate as a liaison between plants and external support providers to identify and resolve equipment and process issues with sustainable long-term solutions. Capital Projects: Plan, coordinate, and manage projects as assigned, ensuring they are executed to meet committed targets within budget. Technology: Facilitate technology advancements that include new product and process introduction and manufacturing improvements to reduce waste. Lean Thinking: Facilitate a culture of "Lean Thinking" to include process standardization, setup reduction, and flow layout that results in lower operating cost. Training: Provide process training and support as required. Qualifications: 2 Year Associate's Degree required, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. Bachelor's Degree Preferred. Five plus years experience in manufacturing environment. Must have excellent mechanical aptitude with a "hands-on" approach to job responsibilities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to identify root causes and long-term solutions with limited supervision but have a willingness to seek out additional information as needed. Must be adaptable and able to work in a fluid environment. Project management experience in planning, coordinating, execution and follow-up is critical to position success.
