Ziegler CAT Helper (Yard/Shop) in Shakopee, Minnesota

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time Yard & Shop Helper to support our store and attachment business. We are looking for a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills to help support our growth. This person will be responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly loading bay, shop, and yard. In addition, this person will perform duties such as moving and placing attachments into inventory, completing the ID process, and receiving and shipping attachments to and from Ziegler branch locations. They will assist customers with loading and unloading their machines and attachments as well. Responsibilities: Maintain CCE attachment inventory and work with attachment specialist directly Receive and identify attachments Maintain yard storage Ship and receive components on nightly shuttle trucks Provide assistance to other departments as requested Promptly greet and assist customers in the yard and loading bay Safely load and unload customer trucks and pick-ups Maintain a clean and orderly loading bay area at all times Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, and other areas as assigned Clean and maintain large steam room and/or wash bay Work in a cooperative manner with team and superiors Qualifications: Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required 2+ years experience required in shop or yard, operating equipment and forklifts Dependable, self-starter, and hard-working Good communication and customer service skills Team-player and willing to help wherever needed Maintains safe and organized work area Able to operate required equipment safely (examples include forklift, sprayers, equipment) This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement Minimum Physical Requirements: Push/pull up to 50 lbs Lift/carry up to 60 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping - able to use bolt box. Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
