Bellefaire JCB helps more than 43,000 youth and their families yearly achieve resiliency, dignity and self-sufficiency through its more than 25 programs.

Position Summary: JDN Early Childhood Center is seeking flexible and energetic substitute child care teachers. Substitute teachers are responsible for the active supervision of children; maintain positive interaction with children, families and co-workers; keep center and classroom in a clean and orderly manner; follow rules for required documentation and perform all other required tasks. Individuals must be highly energetic, mature, nurturing, personable and team-oriented. Demonstrate a high degree of responsibility. Project a professional presence at all times. Exhibit excellent customer service skills and be welcoming with parents.

Hours needed:

  • 3:30-6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and as needed between 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required

  • ECE or CDA preferred or working toward a degree in Early Childhood or related field

  • Prior experience working with children (preferred)

  • Ability to carry out age-appropriate activities for children (infant, toddler, and preschool)

  • Ability to communicate professionally with parents and staff
