We are looking for a talented Test Engineer to join our team specializing in product testing. This is an onsite position and is located in Seymour, Indiana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Assists with the design and implementation of test processes of components or products in a manufacturing environment.

  • Develops, maintains, and upgrades test equipment and architectures for application products.

  • Analyzes test results to provide recommendation and guidance in root cause of test failure events.

  • Understands end product specific functional test during assembly.

  • Requires cross functional knowledge of product engineering, quality, manufacturing engineering, and facilities.

  • Ensures all test procedures comply with safety standards.

  • Ensures all test procedures comply with manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

  • Sensor Technology and Measurement - Selects and applies the sensor technology, performing measurements in the acquired data that leads to the correct analysis and conclusion to help differentiate products that meet quality standards from non-conforming products.

  • Test Control Systems - Designs, operates and optimizes test control systems used to obtain quality results to make data-driven decisions to ensure the product meets customer quality requirements.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Additional Information

  • Basic level of relevant work experience required.

  • Successful applicant would be assigned to a production Engine Test area within the plant, with other projects/tasks as necessary.

  • This is an onsite role, and expected to be on site except when specifically agreed with manager for specific remote days.

  • Must be self starter, capable of identifying and working projects on own initiative as well as assigned tasks/projects, and have a desire to learn and grow in the role.

  • Must be willing to support operating production test cells with flexible 2nd shift hours, as well as collaboratively participate in design reviews, troubleshooting events, and work in cross functional teams to support plant initiatives, improvements, and goals.

  • Will be working closely with Skilled Trades during repair and troubleshooting activities.

  • Experience with COMPTEC and other test cell controls, diesel/gas engine operation/test, basic electrical controls, are a plus

  • This is a 2nd shift position 3PM-11:30PM Monday through Friday

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $64,800- $97,200.00 Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
