Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Seymour, Connecticut
Description:
Position Summary
The purpose of this job is to diagnose, maintain, install, assemble and repair electrical components and electrical equipment throughout the facility and assist with other maintenance issues.
Essential Job Functions:
• Review documentation / work orders
• Trouble shoot / diagnose electrical equipment / motor machinery issues
• Provide all types of repairs to electrical elements of machinery and equipment throughout the plant
• Assemble and repair equipment for the plant
• Design and plan electrical components related to machinery
• Lubricate machinery
• Identify, address and repair safety issues throughout the plant
• Provide preventive and predictive maintenance to machinery according to scheduled times
• Operate fork truck, scissor and genie lifts and change propane tanks
• Order parts and maintain supplies
• Check fire and safety equipment
• Communicate with supervisor
• Document processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
• HS Education
• 3-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience
• Able to follow directions.
• Self-Motivated
• Work as an individual as well as function on part of a high skilled team
• Basic Electrical skills (use a multimeter, change fuses, reset drives/PLC)
• Mechanical Aptitude
