The Food Service Worker is responsible for performing various food service operations tasks such as dishwashing, food preparation, and/or serving food at any of the hospitality facilities under the organization. The role ensures sanitization in compliance with proper food safety and organization's standards. This role works as part of a team performing tasks related to food preparation, serving, cleaning, and customer service. Prepares work area for daily operations by making sure the designated workstations are properly stocked and sanitized. Achieves the high standards of quality, production, cooperation, and service set by the company for our employees, guests and customers. Works cooperatively and effectively with peers and leadership to complete team tasks, serve as back-up for other team members as assigned and minimize customer service issues. Assists with food serving activities, including setting up food stations, buffet tables, or self-service counters. Serves food to customers, ensuring portion control and adherence to food safety standards. Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Cleans food preparation areas, work surfaces, and dining areas. Assists in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen inventory. Monitors inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished. Assists in the maintenance and cleaning of the cafeteria and dining room in compliance with all food safety and Hospitality standards of quality. Greets customers courteously, answers questions professionally and accurately and escalates issues to leadership as necessary. Operates cash registers or point of sale systems to process customer payments accurately. Counts and reconciles cash transactions at the end of shifts and ensures proper documentation. Works collaboratively with other food service staff, such as cooks, servers, and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations and efficient customer service. Communicates effectively and assists team members as needed. 0 - 2 years of experience in customer service, food and beverages, or a related field.
