The Catastrophe Claims Senior Consultant is responsible for execution of the strategic direction of the claims catastrophe (CAT) operations. The role is accountable for staffing as well as collecting and analyzing storm and CAT program data to identify trends and recommend solutions. The role is a member of the property claims leadership team and recognized technical subject matter expert (SME) in claims. Participates in the development and revision of strategic plans for CAT operations to ensure alignment with the company's goals. Develops and executes a communication strategy that enhances transparency and engages both internal and external stakeholders. Manages the CAT operation's budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and financial efficiency. Leads TPA function for Property Claims area, including a reporting TPA manager and a variable level of indirect TPA reports. Leads the execution of the strategic direction of the claims catastrophe (CAT) operations including supervision of all storm response, setting/exceeding customer service standards, complying with state and local reporting requirements, and ensuring storm quality assurance. Ensures customer service excellence and is responsible for the customer, agent, and claims professional experience associated with catastrophe claims. Gathers, organizes, and analyzes individual storm and CAT program data and results to identify and report performance, trends, and opportunities; makes recommendations regarding areas of improvement. Maintains effective and ongoing communication with claims staff, internal and external business partners, project team members, claims leadership, and vendors. Acts as liaison to internal business partners for all CAT reporting and communication and partners with corporate communications to keep customers and agents apprised of CAT operations via social and corporate media. Assists property national leader with identification of risk and mitigation strategies related to catastrophe claims process and collaborates with claims staff and internal business partners to identify trends and improvement opportunities for storm process. Assists property national leader with data analysis, risk identification, business planning, processes, and budget; is accountable for expenditures of the CAT program. Collaborates with internal/external business partners and large account customers, seeking and/or helping or input when needed to support property catastrophe business strategies. Collaborates with management team in the identification of catastrophe claims training needs and partners with Claims Learning Group to design, develop, and deliver catastrophe claims training programs to claims professionals. Participates in professional industry groups and stays abreast of industry changes, advancements, and jurisdictional issues to communicate, develop, and incorporate best practices into the claims business. Shares new information, best practices, and processes. 7-10 years of CAT (Catastrophe) Claims Handling experience required. Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and/or commensurate work experience.
