Jacobs Technician 2 in Severn, Maryland

Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Technician to support our federal customer in Severn, MD. Our highly technical team keeps pace with RF advances, enabling our customer to address threats to our nation and our allies by supporting global needs of our military and national policy-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of technical duties under supervision, including the fabrication, assembly, test, modifications, and operation of complex electrical and electronic circuits and equipment

  • Perform operational tests and adjustment of complex electrical and electronic equipment using standard test set-ups in accordance with printed or generally accepted test procedures

  • Maintains laboratory records, as appropriate

  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, wire lists, waveforms, and diagnostic results and relates to overall equipment or systems functions

  • Make complex repairs including replacement of components parts

  • Fabricate and assemble complex components in accordance with precise detailed instructions in a repetitive and consistent manner

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Active Secret Clearance is required

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; military technical training program or completion of a technical institute program considered in lieu of degree

  • Proficient in the use of laboratory hand tools, test equipment, and computer operated facility equipment

  • Experience as an electronics technician

  • Experience directly related to Engineering Technology or related field
