Jacobs Fabricator in Severn, Maryland

Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Fabricator to support our federal customer in Severn, MD. Our highly technical team keeps pace with RF advances, enabling our customer to address threats to our nation and our allies by supporting global needs of our military and national policy-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform fabrication involving tooling and machinery of metal components to include chassis, enclosures, housings, mounting fixtures, bases, brackets, assembly, and modification of metal components used in systems

  • Fabricate items within rigid tolerances and finish requirements

  • Work from prints, complex drawings, sketches, or samples to accomplish layout and plan for sequential fabrication operations

  • Work with a variety of materials to include metals, plastics, fiberglass, and wood

  • Operate various hand and power tools to perform fabrication process to include band saws, drill presses, welders, cutters, sheers, punches, and brakes

  • Perform welding operations in accordance to fabrication and industry standards

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Active Secret Clearance; successful candidate may be required to take a polygraph

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Mechanical experience working with metal performing fabrication processes to include welding, cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, and assembling metal articles
