Jacobs Assembler 2 in Severn, Maryland

Your Impact:

  • Construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, wiring harnesses, cables, etc. in single or production quantities from mechanical drawings.

  • Testing and verification of the parts against the drawings.

  • The Assembler shall have certifications (such as NASA) as required by the particular Technical Task Order or engineering drawings.

  • Works from detail configuration drawings, wire lists, and cable rundown lists for proper inter-system equipment connections.

  • Tailors and fabricates cable assemblies as required.

  • Installs cable assemblies using standard written and generally accepted techniques including the provision for cable service loops and for proper cable routing.

  • Uses hand tools and portable power tools, as required, to perform wire-wrap and terminal connection installation.

  • Performs other related duties, as required.

  • Uses general-purpose visual and audible testing instruments to verify correctness of work.

  • Assists other higher-level assemblers and engineering personnel in the performance of their work, consistent with own background and training.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
