7 Cedars Resort Deli Clerk in Sequim, Washington

{width="354" height="354"} We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Deli Clerk to join our team at the Longhouse Market! In this full-time, evening shift position, you'll play a vital role in keeping our deli department running smoothly. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, ensuring our customers have a positive and delicious experience. The Deli Clerk maintains a high level of quality customer service and product presentation to all 7 Cedar Resort guests and 7 Cedar employees. Prepares deli food and barista items in accordance to department recipes and maintains display cases and customer seating areas, ensuring compliance with Resort cleanliness and sanitation standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Greet guests, answer questions, knowledgeable of product served, offer suggestions, take and serve food and beverage orders.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Must be able to operate and prepare foods/beverages using a variety of kitchen equipment including but not limited to; panini grill, convection oven, alto sham, microwave, heat seal, gas range/oven, gas grill, dishwasher, Hobart scale, food slicer, coffee grinder, and espresso machine.
  • May prepare deli food items by food washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish.
  • Clean and sanitize electric food slicer.
  • Process cash and non-cash sales.
  • Keep all deli areas, customer tables, and seating areas stocked and clean.
  • Must follow Temp Logs and department closing lists.
  • Daily dish washing and department cleaning, including mopping, sweeping and taking out trash and cardboard.
  • Ability to apply basic maintenance skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and retain department information and training.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all general and department policies and procedures.

     

     

     

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 6 months Deli experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn and maintain menu changes.
  • Scale management and knowledge.
  • Knowledge and preparation of a variety of espresso and non-coffee drinks.
  • Ability to use computerized cash register.
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
  • Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
