ABB Inc Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Senatobia, Mississippi

This is a job for Senior Manufacturing Engineer position with the company located in Senatobia, MS area.

Job Summary: In this role, you will be defining the working phase sequence of a new production or an established process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget for ABB Smart Power division driving beneficial changes throughout the ABB facility.

Responsibilities:  

Lead team of engineers and support manufacturing initiatives, serving as first point of contact for manufacturing support. Lead and manage any improvement manufacturing initiatives for the facility. Develop, configure, and optimize both existing and new manufacturing processes from inception through start up and certification. Perform process assessments, collecting and interpreting an array of measurements and data to determine the best solution. Ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance and materials or components in support of production targets. Provide documentation of process, visual and quality standards, including fabrication of operating instructions where required. Develop test specification for new automated lines and existing lines and develop test equipment specification for existing and new product introduction. Implement engineering changes and eliminate ergonomic hazards. Manage investment budget.

Qualifications:  Bachelor of Science degree Engineering or related field with six (6) years' experience minimum. Certification in Lean Six Sigma is preferred green belt and up. Experience implementing process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence. Experience in designing and implementing automated lines. Working knowledge of process engineering software packages. CAD or AutoCAD skills. Experience in process simulations preferred. Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
