Job Title: QESH REPRESENTATIVE

Join our Sulzer Pumps Wastewater Malaysia team within Services Business Unit division as QESH Representative to help us take service operation to the next level.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitor and improve QESH aspects of the Company wide activities by establishing and maintaining effective QESH Management System and work procedures.

  • Develop, distribute and regularly review Company QESH policies standards and procedures in cooperation with department managers / QESH committee / employees.

  • Ensure the success of external QESH annual surveillance audits, attain ISO re-certification and Corporate QESH audits.

  • Develop QESH objectives, targets, plans and performance measures to continually drive improvement and reinforce / sustain QESH practices and culture.

  • Monitor the implementation of ESH related programs, rules and regulations, policies and procedures to endure the health and safety of employees and contractors, and managers and employees are fulfilling their ESH responsibilities.

  • Conduct audits, assessment and training to ensure compliance with Corporate and ISO standards and procedures and legal regulatory requirements, and the employees and contractor obey the safety rules and procedures of the Company.

  • Manage failures, review and analyze non-conformances in work processes and QESH audits. Follow up on implementation of actions from Internal, Corporate and external QESH audits.

  • Identity operational gaps to initiate and follow through changes in the Company to achieve customer loyalty and achieve operational excellence objectives.

  • Advise and work closely with the management and operation departments to formulate safe work procedures, identify safety gaps, propose corrective and preventive measures and ensure enforcement measures for reducing workplace hazards.

  • Ensure accidents, incidents, compliance deviations and enforcement actions are fully investigated, and corrective and preventive measures are taken.

  • Conduct drills, ESH related training and awareness campaign / program.

  • Keep abreast with the QESH developments, external network with statutory, industry and professional organizations to gain insight to emerging issues, ESH process development, and update the management and employees of associated implications.

  • Provide reports and management reviews with recommendations for corrective and preventives actions, monitor closure of recommendations and annual QESH objectives, targets and performance.

  • Improve / Streamline and keep up to date with QESH best practices and changing Corporate and legal regulatory requirements and convey this information to the Company and associated Legal Entities (LEs).

  • Provide QESH documents and information to communicate Corporate and legal ESH requirements and other issues relating to business activities.

  • Support / Coaches / Mentor Southeast Asia (SEA) Legal Entities (LEs) on the implementation on the requirements of Corporate and ISO policies, standards, and procedures, including network with global / SEA QESH personnel to share solutions and promote a consistent approach to QESH Management and work processes across Company's businesses.

  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned.

What you bring to Sulzer:

  • Diploma / bachelor’s degree in quality management or equivalent

  • 2-3 years of QESH experience

  • Well versed with QESH requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills & communication skills

  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills

  • Ability to look broad perspective.

  • Highly adaptable & versatile
