Siemens Energy Project Planner in Selma, North Carolina
A Snapshot of Your Day
Work closely with the project team to develop, maintain, and manage the project schedule; to include development, engineering, construction, supply chain, regulatory and finance-related activities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Manage scheduling software and maintain 100% accuracy and ensure that all projects are being scheduled and forecast using a consistent methodology
Participate in regular project team meetings keeping all project info current and adjusting for changes in a fluid schedule while managing PTO of technicians to ensure a full crew is available for a project
Prepare spend curves and cash-flow forecasts during the life-cycle of the project, responsible for reporting schedule results to the project lead and the project team;
Assist or lead in the creation of comprehensive schedule submissions using the Project Success Method, resource, and cost loading
Regularly review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints, and milestones and provide schedule analysis and metrics on a regular basis
Regular communication with Resource managers, PM`s, Technicians on the day-to-day logistics of a field service group including communicating with fleet manager and resource manager to ensure equipment maintenance will not affect project timeline
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred
4+ years of experience in project scheduling/ planning is ideal
Certification received through PMI or other similar organizations focused on recognition of expertise in Project Management is helpful
Project planning/scheduling within the energy industry preferred
Requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and database applications
An understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
