Description

We have a new Senior Accountant opportunity with a multi-faceted company located in the Selma, CA area. Your tasks as Senior Accountant will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Exceptional analytical skills are required to excel in this role. In addition to the solid compensation and benefits, this full-time position offers the possibility of growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

  • Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

    Requirements

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • Skilled with ERP systems

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Knowledge of Consolidated Financial Statements

  • General familiarity with Prepare Journal Entries

  • Bank Account Reconciliation experience

  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred

  • Proven knowledge of general ledger

  • Well-founded grasp of Adjusting Journal Entries

  • Practical knowledge of QuickBooks Pro

  • Quality experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Prepare Financial Statements experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements

  • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

  • 4+ years of overall general accounting experience, i

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Skilled at time management

  • Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • BA/BS in Accounting,

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
