We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced individual for a Shipper/Receiver position (7:00am -- 3:30pm, Monday -- Friday). Overtime available.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely management of all incoming receiving and outgoing shipments.
  • Receive all incoming materials and record their receipt accurately; promptly transfer all received materials to proper stock location or staging area or notify Service that materials require quality inspection.
  • Prepare and arrange all outgoing shipments making certain that all goods are labeled, accurately recorded, packaged, and shipped correctly to arrive at their destination on time, complete, and undamaged.
  • Report all incorrect or damaged received materials to the Purchasing Manager.
  • Perform local pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Assist the Materials Coordinator with performing physical inventory counts; both periodic cycle counts and the annual count at the end of each calendar year.
    • Able to supervise one full-time assistant employee.
    • Assist with inspection of lift trucks, overhead cranes, and company vehicles. Record findings in the safety log. Schedule when service or repairs are necessary.

Qualifications

  • Possess a High School Diploma (GED) and at least three years of relevant shipping/receiving experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pack cartons and build crating to protect components for shipment using various transport modes.
  • Ability to load/off-load large furnace equipment onto and from various trailers and enclosed vans.
  • Ability to read and understand purchasing documents, engineering bills of material, drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to use and operate basic hand tools, measuring devices, powered portable tools, pneumatic tools, and stationary shop equipment.
  • Ability to competently operate material handling equipment such as a forklift truck and overhead cranes.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Possess a valid PA driver's license and a clean driving history.
