Clark County REMC Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Sellersburg, Indiana

Clark County REMC is currently seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our Marketing and Member Services Team. If you would enjoy working on the front lines of our communitys energy needs by assisting members with establishing electric service, billing, and payment options, and providing account information while serving the community in which you live then Clark County REMC is looking for you. Clark County REMC, incorporated in 1939, is a member-owned electric cooperative providing service to members living in Clark, Floyd, Scott, Jefferson, and Washington counties in southern Indiana. Currently we provide service to over 23,000 members covering 1,827 miles of energized lines. Our mission is to efficiently deliver safe, reliable electric service to our members. As a Customer Service Representative you will:

  • Work with new and existing members to facilitate electric service requests, maintain accounts when necessary, and process service order requests for complete member satisfaction.
  • Serve members in person and by phone by answering questions and providing patient and accurate service at all times.
  • Receive and process non-cash payments as needed.
  • Support REMC bill collection efforts, offering payment assistance when appropriate and collecting payments whenever possible.
  • Fulfill member requests for energy efficient products and services, processing paperwork and scheduling activities on the members behalf.

You will also need to:

  • Show a good-natured cooperative attitude.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • Associate degree with one year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience working in an electric cooperative is preferred.
