Selinsgrove Center is seeking full-time Residential Service Aides to provide service at the facility. This position is responsible and accountable for assisting lead work and supervisory residential staff with development, delivery and monitoring of treatment, training, and related services.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Our Residential Service Aides are responsible for delivering treatment and training services in the areas of self-care, socialization, and health maintenance. These treatments and services are specified in each Individual Habilitation Plan / Individual Support Plan (IHP/ISP).

Duties include assisting with the development of each individual's IHP/ISP by completing designated portions of the selfcare assessment, assisting in the implementation of each individual's IHP/ISP by conducting specified training plans, and assisting with monitoring and reviewing each individual's IHP/ISP by recording and reporting required information. In addition, you assist in conducting a program of environmental enhancement, provide opportunities for the individuals served, and interact with unit and facility staff to maintain effective unit operations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
  • Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, rotating schedule, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (commonwealth title);or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities
