SUMMARY:

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating heavy machinery used to bend, distort, punch, and cut metal. This position will require expertise in reading blueprints to properly align materials before executing tasks for a precise finish.

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm (OT as required)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Setup and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprint specifications.

  • Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job.

  • Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Make adjustments to machine settings as needed.

  • Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions.

  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines.

  • Understands how to manage daily work expectations and goals.

  • Follows all safety policies and standards.

  • Capable and willing to train other employees.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING OR WE’D LIKE TO SEE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

  • 3-5 years’ experience operating press brake machines.

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and interpreting GD&T symbols.

  • The individual must have exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.

  • Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist.

  • This will be an onsite position in Seguin, Texas.

  • No travel requirements.

  • If selected for the role, a drug screen and physical will be conducted.
