Financial Controller

Based in Segrate (Milano), Italy

Istituto delle Vitamine S.p.A. is market leader in nutrition and produces and sells vitamins, eubiotics, enzymes, microelements and other nutritional ingredients addressed to the zootechnical, food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

The financial controller has overall responsibility for the coordination, monitoring, reporting and analysis of the legal entity’s financial statements. To ensure this, the legal entity controller is responsible for implementing and supervising structured interactions with all relevant stakeholders: BU account manager, other financial control teams, Financial Shared Services, internal and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and execute finance actuals, closing, and reporting activities for assigned reporting unit(s) to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with dsm-firmenich Accounting Rules, international, and local statutory accounting standards to maintain integrity of financial statements and management report.

  • Monitor the Balance Sheet, conduct financial variance analysis, and address open items to ensure financial stability and accuracy.

  • Review integrity and quality of all sub ledgers, including balance reconciliation, to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Actively oversee the financial closing process, lead pre-close meetings, define and implement mitigation actions to address issues, and drive improvements to meet defined deadlines and ensure correctness of actuals.

  • Execution and supervision of A/P, A/R, Assets and General Ledger accounting.

  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements, including all statutory and fiscal requirements such as VAT, Withholding Tax, Fiscal books, budgeting, and quarterly forecasts.

  • Control of daily and monthly billing processes, and collaboration and support provided to fiscal authorities, banks, internal and external auditors, as well as the company’s legal, corporate, and fiscal consultants.

    You Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in multinational companies, focusing on international financial issues and budgeting.

  • Strong understanding of statutory law.

  • Proficiency in SAP system; familiarity with Zucchetti's ERP is a plus.

  • Curious, sharp, and open-minded mindset.

  • Fluency in English and Italian.
