Responsibilities: These positions report to the Kulshan Foreman (WFMS) and operate under state regulations, agency policies and procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and strategic plans. They may lead seasonal and permanent firefighters during suppression operations and work projects. Responsibilities include ensuring proficiency in suppression techniques and managing administrative duties for the Agency. Additionally, these positions may be called upon to staff or lead a Type 5 Wildland Fire Engine as needed. *Required Qualifications: *

  • Knowledge of wildland fire suppression tactics and fire behavior recognition.
  • Certified as a NWCG Firefighter Type 1.
