Job Summary:

Established digital retoucher with proven expert experience in high-end retouching. Exceptional time management, organizational, interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills are key to facilitating the success and growth of our fast-paced and creative environment. The candidate must have previous experience working with a creative department and must be able to meet tight deadlines. Strong collaboration skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Complex image creative composition, extensive retouching, and accurate color correction product matching on digital images for Print and Digital.

  • Collaborate with Creative and Production departments to support their ever changing needs and requirements.

  • Printing and evaluating large format certified proofs.

  • Quality control and final image checks.

  • Responsible to keep abreast with industry and software changes and updates.

  • Proactively assist in problem solving within team and across department.

  • Continually develop retouching skills to improve abilities as well as remain current in the market and consistent with the company’s brand and trends

  • Comply with all work processes and procedures to meet the desired end.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 5+ years retouching experience

  • In-depth understanding of photography, lighting or art background preferred

  • Experience working with a creative department

Skills and Behaviors:

  • Expert working knowledge of Photoshop, Capture One, and Camera Raw

  • Expert working knowledge of layers/sets, masks, paths, color correction tools, actions, and batch processing

  • Pre-press experience preferred

  • Expert knowledge of color theory and RGB and CMYK color spaces

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, and Bridge

  • Must have an artistic eye, keen color awareness, and conceptual design skills

  • Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision

  • Must have strong visual skills and be resourceful and innovative with attention to detail and focus on maintaining quality of work

  • Must be adaptive and comfortable interacting with users from various business partners

  • Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment

  • Ability to work towards multiple deadlines with shifting priorities

  • Must be a self-starter
