Under the supervision of the HAWP Director, The Transportation Administrator is responsible for the Health Aging and Wellness Transportation program, including: transportation of participants, meals, durable medical equipment and medications; transportation scheduling; oversight, hiring, training and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers; ensuring compliance with transportation contract requirements and data reporting; and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Oversees vehicle repairs and maintenance. Identifies quality and cost effective vendor for same. Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals. Manages the development, organization, and maintenance of an information management system for HAWP. Responsible for planning, testing, implementing and maintaining a HAWP knowledge base that prioritizes access to information, security, information integrity, and portability. This includes work across departments to meet infrastructure needs. Works within the department to ensure staff know and understand how to use and contribute to the system. This position is a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, pursuant to 42 CFR §§ 460.102(b) and (d), as the Driver Representative.

Pay Range: $32.60 - $47.73 

Education - Bachelor's degree required, 4 years of relevant experience in transportation management and information technology may be substituted for the degree. Experience - Additional 2 years' experience in transportation management and information technology. Minimum of one year experience working with the frail and elderly population preferred. If not met, willingness to train on the complexities of serving a frail and elderly population is required. Other Requirement(s) - Valid WA State Drivers License and safe driving record. Ability to safely operate a bus and provide back-up emergency driver coverage. Must have active CPR and First Aid Certification, or willing to obtain within one month of hire. Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and up-to-date with all immunizations before having direct participant contact.
