Territory Account Manager - Law Enforcement Sales - Greater Seattle, WA or Portland, OR based Portland, OR, USA * Seattle, WA, USA * Virtual Req #917 Saturday, August 17, 2024 TOGETHER, WE SAVE LIVES OVERVIEW Responsible for the territory penetration, sales & business development, and servicing of Safariland law enforcement equipment to regional distributors and law enforcement agency end users within the Pacific Northwest region; inclusive of WA, OR, AK, WY, MT, & ID. Law enforcement industry (or related) background preferred. We've found that Law Enforcement Officers with leadership experience and/or equipment evaluation experience (i.e.: SWAT) are ideal for these roles when considering a 2nd career. The successful candidate will need to quickly become adept at strategically working agency sales cycles through our distribution partners or directly to uncover and close law enforcement agency opportunities. These opportunities will extend across a range of law enforcement equipment solutions in the Safariland assortment including body armor, ballistic helmets and shields, tactical gear, communications, and holsters/duty gear. Candidates must currently reside within the Greater Seattle, WA or Portland, OR markets. RESPONSIBILITES Achievement of territory revenue goals and sales opportunity pipeline KPI's Develop and implement strategic plans for penetrating key agency customers Report to the Director of Sales on a monthly basis sales performance versus business plan results Responsible for the training of distributor personnel to facilitate the sales and servicing of Safariland products to agencies. Partner with distributor personnel to uncover, strategically pursue, and close law enforcement agency opportunities Partner with internal cross functional teams to drive assigned projects to their successful conclusion inclusive of Business Units, Pricing and Sales Operations, Customer Service, Technical Specialists, and Marketing Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to agency end-users Monitor and control travel expenses within establish budget parameters Provide competitive market intelligence Adhere to Safariland's Code of Conduct standards Monitor and manage all testing and evaluation samples Coordinate and attend various industry trade shows while facilitating new business opportunities and building customer relationships QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 years sales or related law enforcement industry experience Bachelor's Degree, preferred Overnight Travel required, up to 60% Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid financial and analytical skills Ability to motivate and inspire distributor teams and work effectively as a team member Ability to effectively work with all levels of a large organization Knowledge of distributor networks and contract bids processes Intermediate skills required in Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, & Word Working knowledge of Customer Management applications (CRM) Excellent organization, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities Preferred Candidate location: Seattle, WA or Portland, OR The Safariland Group believes in the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to equal opportunity and affirmative actions.
