Amazon Technical Program Manager II, ITA-Workforce Intelligence in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA) organization develops data solutions for all aspects of hiring across Amazon. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to work with our data engineering teams to support the data solutions required for corporate data hiring.

We support the Talent Acquisition (TA) organization with the data solutions needed to hire hundreds of thousands of hourly associates and corporate employees across multiple types of roles and businesses.

As part of our TPM team, the Technical Program Manager will work closely with multiple global stakeholders to re-invent how Amazon attracts, communicates with, and ultimately hires its hourly associates and corporate employees. In this role,

you will work closely with the ITA Data Engineering teams supporting our corporate hiring needs. The team is involved in a wide range of data engineering activities across multiple business areas including candidate generation and conversion, core metrics, security and data governance.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead projects across multiple Amazon business lines and organizations.

  • Plan, design and communicate the implementation and adoption of new programs and processes.

  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines, requiring frequent multi-layered communication, organization/time management, and creative problem solving skills.

  • Act as a key internal resource in the analysis, measurement, and requirements-gathering related to process improvement and productivity initiatives.

  • Identify gaps for localization and bridge them to ensure adoption of projects in different locales

  • Provide regular updates and metrics to stakeholders, including monthly and quarterly business reviews.

  • Partner with legal, public relations, employee relations to ensure compliance of data engineering projects in the EU and other countries.

About the team

Intelligent Talent Acquisition is the largest data and science team involved in hiring at Amazon. The data engineering teams provides core data infrastructure for Amazon Talent Acquisition hiring capabilities. They collaborate with product managers, software engineers, scientists, data experts and business leaders to build robust solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 2+ years of software development experience

  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
