We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Design Engineering Services organization within Global Robotics Delivery. In this role, you will work directly with product leaders and engineers to maximize the performance of advanced robotics systems to enable scale. This position is responsible for overseeing robotic hardware development and cross-functional program management (integrated schedule coordination, risk mitigation, communications) of a portfolio of programs and will serve as the liaison between Engineering, Solutions Design, Analytics, Customer Support, and the Program Office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for robotics development, be highly skilled at working backwards from multiple customers, demonstrate the ability to advise and influence organization management to align to a multi-year portfolio strategy, and be highly technical to dive deep into the product maturity roadmaps and design for excellence requirements along with the technologies required to source, manufacture, deploy, and guide robotic products. The candidate should be open to new challenges, strong at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player. Candidate should drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional operational and development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms

  • Own complex scheduling, resource balancing, and financial modeling for engineering initiatives and programs

  • Analyze data, devise metrics, and build dashboard structures to track impact of programs on DFx, including cost savings, deployment efficiency, and scalability

  • Prioritize actions across stakeholders, develop a clear RACI to drive accountability, and ensure focus on the highest value activities

  • Partner with leaders and engineers in the AR organization to deliver new and innovative products to the customer fulfillment network

  • Work with stakeholder teams to determine the appropriate escalation, review process, and resolution for delivery blockers

  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the safety, reliability, and performance of the products in the product suite

  • Provide requirements and “voice of the customer” feedback to development and support teams

  • Up to 25% travel expected

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
