Blue Origin LLC Sr. Systems Engineer, System Integration - Lunar Permanence (R37924) in Seattle, Washington

To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, engineers, and designers, you will contribute to the integration of various subsystems for the Cargo variant of our Lunar Lander. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the next lunar lander. In this roll you will be expected to lead and drive vehicle level trades and studies to ensure optimization of the design. Your attention to detail will be used for managing requirements development, documenting interfaces between vehicles and disciplines and drive design maturation. Your ability to collaborate and previous design experience will be key in leading trade studies, developing design concepts, planning verification activities, and ensuring successful vehicle integration and operation. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the integration of one or more spacecraft subsystems into the overall lander architecture. Coordinate cross-functional trade studies at the vehicle level, perform integrated analyses and drive key decisions for the vehicle. Collaborate with the team to define and manage interfaces that impact the subsystem design and integration. Support analysis reports and products thru program milestone reviews. Manage the technical performance measures for the overall vehicle. Apply a variety of technical principles and tools in Systems Engineering such as CONOPs development, requirements analysis, and interface definition. Minimum Qualifications: Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! Minimum of a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar Deep technical knowledge of one or more spacecraft subsystems (Avionics, Software, Structures, Mechanisms, Thermal, GNC, Electrical Power, etc.) Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and deliver solutions to results-oriented trades. Experience developing hardware through all phases of the development lifecycle. Detailed knowledge of overall systems engineering process and technical budgets Excellent verbal, written and graphical communication skills. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. "Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
