Amazon Sr. Supply Chain Program Manager, Supplier Diversity, Global Procurement Operations (GPO) in Seattle, Washington

As the Senior Supply Chain Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the supplier diversity program by leading and monitoring opportunities for diverse suppliers for Amazon's Global Procurement Organization (GPO) across Worldwide Operations. You will work with Category Managers to develop diverse supplier strategies and executing on sourcing activities. The Senior Supply Chain Program Manager will manage suppliers for a group of categories to operationalize strategies and continue development of diverse suppliers. This person will work across teams, Amazon’s affinity groups and other functions across Amazon businesses to execute on supplier diversity initiatives. The role will work with diverse suppliers across a set of categories of spend in GPO. This person will work across teams to develop both new and existing suppliers to support across businesses.

This role will be responsible to implement programs and drive results across categories of spend, assess risks, balance the business needs vs constraints. The role will provide analytics and performance metrics for the supplier diversity team. The person in this role will be the primary point of contact for the Supplier Diversity and Inclusion program in their categories to truly impact the communities we work in and support.

This role can be based out of Seattle, WA, Bellevue, WA, Nashville, TN and Arlington, VA.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify, research, assess capabilities of diverse vendors to create supply base across a set of spend categories

• Develop diverse suppliers in collaboration with business for future opportunities and requirements

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse supplier organizations

• Analyze and report on supplier diversity program and metrics

• Manage and track diversity spend in alignment with Supplier Diversity Program teams

• Manage various supplier diversity initiatives for a set of categories in GPO

• Manage communications for internal stakeholders on vendor & supplier diversity

• Make key decisions and/or recommendations concerning sourcing strategy, negotiation strategy, contract awards, and supplier management

• Interact externally with the supplier community and industry analysts

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
