Key job responsibilities
Own the full stack and entire life-cycle of our products, from the roadmap to the architecture to implementation and continuous iterative development.
Experience leading/mentoring engineers into building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience in architecting large, cross-organization software solutions.
Experience on navigating ambiguous requirements.
Architecting highly scalable, extensible privacy solutions for multiple PV services
Partnering with peers across organizations to develop appropriate integrations
Mentoring, coaching and developing junior team member in software development best practices
A day in the life
You will work with product and engineering teams from initiation to deployment and will be responsible for the security and privacy throughout the development lifecycle, interfacing with key stakeholders and driving programs to secure the customer experience. This includes finding new ways to streamline and scale security and privacy initiatives across Prime Video.
About the team
Our team provides PV Product with solutions (software, policies, education, etc.) to support them in managing their privacy and data handling responsibilities. We partner with Privacy teams across Amazon to build products that support our customer’s key privacy needs - the right for a copy of their data, the right to be forgotten, consent for personalization, etc. We will build on these solutions to ensure business, compliance, and technology teams across PV know exactly where they have personal data, how they are performing against Amazon’s privacy bar and relevant Privacy regulations, and what actions they can take to deliver the greatest improvements.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
