Amazon Sr Program Manager, PSPP in Seattle, Washington

Amazon Currency Converter (ACC) is looking for a Sr. Program Manager based in Seattle to join the Payment Service Provider Program (PSPP) team. The overall ACC business provides a better payment experience for cross-border Buyers and Sellers worldwide and extends Amazon’s reach beyond the borders of our existing Amazon Stores. As part of our continued effort to make Amazon the safest and most trusted store in the world for Buyers and Sellers, ACC launched the PSPP to enhance Amazon’s ability to detect, prevent, and take actions against potential bad actors so we can continue to protect Buyers and Sellers from fraud and abuse. Sellers that choose to use a Payment Service Provider (PSP) to receive their Amazon store sales proceeds are required to use a PSP that is participating in this Program.

This role will be responsible for leading new initiatives to further enhance PSPP. This opportunity requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and highly analytical, and bring the following to the position: a) strong account, program, and business management skills including developing new business ideas and strategies; b) financial and economic analysis skills; c) payments products knowledge, including an understanding of the international/cross-border payments landscape, competitive environment, and customer behavior; and d) ability to engage with internal and external partners to identify and pursue business opportunities, and influence outcomes.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead several initiatives to improve PSPP processes, product roadmap, and overall business management

• Understand local regulatory requirements and customer needs

• Identify product/process gaps and work with the partner teams to ensure mitigation plans are properly prioritized

• Work with cross-functional stakeholders and external payment partners such as banks and payment service providers to drive dedicated program goals

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Mandarin language skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
