As part of the Amazon Prime family, the US Prime Offsite team is on a mission to maximize customer’s perceived membership value by making sure all Prime members are aware of and utilize the exact benefits that are most relevant to their needs and interests. To help us achieve our goal, we are looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to pioneer and scale high impact Offsite marketing programs for the Prime Student program.

Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer that has an obsession with all things Gen Z. They are relentless using customer anecdotes and behavioral data to shape their strategies and align stakeholders with different business objectives under a common vision. They evaluate communications through the lens of the Gen Z customer and have a hunger for building personalized marketing communications at scale. They have good instincts prioritizing where to invest and where to lean into automated evergreen programs to achieve their objectives. They strive for operational excellence in everything they do and are always scrutinizing current processes to find new ways to serve unique customers more efficiently. They can work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, develop win-win partnerships with other teams and write powerful documents that align key stakeholders to their vision.

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing the weekly reach and engagement of Prime Student and meet with the appropriate channel partners to deep dive into any unique trends. You then review creatives for an upcoming cross-channel campaign that will be targeted to your segments. You attend a campaign planning meeting to learn about upcoming Prime merchandising opportunities, provide feedback as to their relevance to your segments and update your content calendar and message priorities to reflect these conversations. Finally, you end your day meeting with customer insights teams to consult on future segment specific studies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
